The B1025 from Colchester takes you over "The Strood" where you will see the water either side of the railing, take the right hand fork to West Mersea.

Follow the road passing through the village centre with St Peter and St Paul church on the left (plan to visit the local shop later in the day!).The sharp right hand bend will bring the river Blackwater in sight on the left, follow coast road for approximately 0.5 of a mile and the Coast Inn is set back on the right.
